Growing up, Letting Go and Finding Grace
A little furtherA story about what happened and everything that came after.
The story behind the pages
Before the book, there was a life.
Where I began
Before there was a book, there were questions. I spent much of my life trying to understand how our earliest experiences follow us into adulthood — and how the stories we inherit become the stories we tell ourselves.
What I carried
I kept returning to what we survive, what we lose, and what we learn to carry. There are things we hold onto because we do not yet know how to talk about them.
Learning to let go
Healing is not a straight line, or a clean break with the past. I think of it as making room: to question old beliefs, to offer ourselves grace, and to find our way back to who we are.
Finding the words
Writing gave those questions somewhere to go. A page could hold what felt unfinished, without asking for an answer. Slowly, the conversation about becoming began to take the shape of a book.
Why I wrote this book
Lessons on Becoming is a story about what happened and everything that came after. I want these pages to open a conversation — about where we came from, what we carry, and who we can become.
There is no single momentwhen we arrive ata finished version of ourselves.
Let the story meet you where you are.
